Playing War, Playing Tag #33

     What are the things you have done with your friends when you are a small child?  For me, it's playing at war and playing tag.
     My friends and I used to own airsoft guns when we were elementary school students.  At school, if somebody said, "Let's play war.", we gathered together on a hill after school.  The hill had many trees and places to hide, which made  the game very realistic and thrilling.
     Also, we played tag in a community center.  Gosh, we were terrible boys.  We must have been annoying brats.  The community center was a place to hold music concerts and business meetings.  Now I know we were not supposed to be noisy.  Because the elevator there was transparent, we could see "it" approaching.  We used to scream, "It is coming!"
     Dear adults,
     Thank you for giving us a lot of freedom.  
We won't do it again in the community center.

　子どものころの友だちとの思い出の中で、おもしろかったことは何であろうか。私は戦争ごっこと鬼ごっこだ。
　私の友だちと私は小学生のころにエアーガンを持っていた。学校で誰かが「戦争ごっこしよう。」と言うと、放課後に小さな山に集まった。その山には木がたくさんあり、隠れるところもたくさんあった。そのため戦争ごっこがリアルでスリル満点なものになった。
　また、文化会館で鬼ごっこをした。本当に、私たちはひどい少年だった。迷惑をかけていた悪ガキだっただろう。文化会館はコンサートを開いたり、仕事の会議をするところだ。私たちはうるさくしてはいけなかったのだろう、と今はわかる。そこでのエレベーターは透明だったので、鬼が近づいて来るときにわかるのだった。よくこう叫んだものだ。「鬼が来た！」

文化会館で鬼ごっこはもうしません。
