クリスマスの真実 〜 イエス・キリストのこと知ってる？

というようなタイトルは筆者が考えたわけじゃない。本 note 投稿でシェアする他人のインスタグラム投稿のタイトル、それぞれ、"The Truth about Christmas" と "Do You Know Jesus?" を日本語にして、筆者の note 投稿タイトルとして並べただけ。

クリスマスの本当の意味は、ブライアンの誕生日（笑）

クリスマスがイエス・キリストの誕生日でないことは、これはもうその通り。ブライアンの誕生日なのかどうかは、まぁそれはさて措き、これについては本 note 投稿の最後に繋がる。

クリスマスの真実

この人, Charity Croff については、3, 4年前に Facebook 上の彼の投稿で知った。最初に見たのは、次章でシェアする内容のもの。その後、ずっと追いかけているわけではないが、彼の Facebook page に Like, 「いいね」して（最近 Instagram も「フォロー」）、こうしたキリスト教とか「宗教」関連だけでなく、様々な分野におけるテーマを取り上げた彼の投稿を見てきた。ひと頃よく見ていたんだが、実はたまたましばらく遠のいていて、今日、久しぶりにチェック。と言っても筆者の本 note 投稿で取り上げるのは、昨年以前に既に（彼が）リリースしていて、今年また、つまり再投稿しているものから二つ。

以下の内容については、初めて見たのはやはり Facebook 上、昨年もしくは一昨年の 12月だったと思う。

イエス・キリストのこと知ってる？

これは、3, 4年前に彼の Facebook page 上で初めて見て以降、幾度となく筆者の Facebook のタイムラインでシェアしてきたもの。

筆者にとってはあまりに速い喋りの彼だが、前章で取り上げたもの同様、英語とはいえ字幕が付いているので助かる（Facebook page 上のものも字幕付き）。要するに、ときどき止めながら聴いていけば理解できることになるので、こういうのはありがたい。

Monty Python's Life of Brian は 1979年公開の Monty Python のコメディ映画。これはもう傑作、ひたすら笑える大傑作。筆者は DVD 持ってるので、いつでも、何度でも、繰り返し（同じ言葉の繰り返し!!!）、楽しめる。
