April 22, 2023: Ryuichi Sakamoto (2)（坂本龍一さん(2)）

Since I heard that Ryuichi Sakamoto-san had passed away, I have been watching or listening to a lot of his performances. First, I watched his joint concert with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra on WOWOW. It calmed me down and reminded me of a lot of things about him. Then, I also watched another one of his on WOWOW. He played piano in a trio for piano, violin and cello. It entertained me, too. But nothing beats listening to music at a live concert. I have been to his concert only once. It was held about ten years ago at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall. During the concert, he continued to play music but little talked. I really liked his simple way of performing at the concert. It is the best of the concerts and musicals I have ever attended.
I also have a lot of his music CDs. Among them are ‘Out of Noise' and 'Asyn' that are my favourite albums. They helped me to settle down. Above all, I like listening to 'Hibari' from the Out of Noise album.
I will continue to listen to his music to find something new.

　坂本龍一さんが亡くなったと聞いてから、彼の沢山の作品を観たり、聴いたりしています。最初に見たのが、WOWOWでやっていた、東京フィルハーモニー交響楽団とのジョイントコンサートです。これを見て、落ち着きを取り戻し、坂本さんについていろんなことを思い出しました。その後、また別のコンサートビデオもみました。こちらは、ピアノ、バイオリンとチェロの三重奏で、坂本さんはピアノを奏でていました。こちらも、楽しかったです。でも、コンサートに行って生で聴く演奏には勝てません。一度だけですが、坂本さんのコンサートにいったことがあります。10年位前に東京オペラシティ コンサートホール開催されたコンサートです。坂本さんは、ほとんどおしゃべりをされず、ひたすら音楽を演奏されていました。この、派手さのない朴訥なコンサートが大好きでした。過去に様々なコンサートやミュージカルを見てきましたが、いまだにこのコンサートをしのぐものに出会っていません。　また、坂本さんの音楽音楽CDをさくさん持っています。なかでも、「out of noise」と「async」が大好きです。この２つのアルバムを聴くと、気持ちがすごく落ち着きます。特に「out of noise」の「hibari」がたまらなく好きです。これからも、新たな発見をもとめて坂本さんの音楽を聴きづけます。
