January 25, 2024: Food Delivery Service （食品の宅配サービス）
My wife has been using the Coop's delivery service for a long time. Every week, she places her orders with the service. The orders, including fresh vegetables and frozen meals, are then delivered to the front door of my home on the Wednesday of the following week. Until a few years ago, as soon as they were delivered, I used to unpack the orders and store them in a refrigerator or other places. But I no longer need to do that as my wife is always off on Wednesday. The service has helped her to save her time. She still goes shopping in a supermarket near to where I live. But she does not have to go there every day, but just a couple of times a week. The service also helps her to save her energy. She does not have to carry heavy ones like vegetables. Furthermore, the service is very friendly and cooperative. Even when the lift in my apartment building was not working, the delivery man brought the orders to the front door of my flat on the 5th floor. In other words, the service seems to be essential to her and she will never stop using the service.
In addition to the service, she has started using a different delivery service, which is offered by a Japanese company, Oisix. The service is a little different from Coop’s one. It delivers prepared frozen meals. So my wife does not have to cook a meal, all she has to do is just to defrost and heat the meals. For now, she uses the service a couple of times a week and I have the meals at dinner. The meals taste good and I like them. But they taste a little strong. They seem to target the younger generations.
妻は長い間、生協の宅配サービスを利用しています。 毎週のように注文しています。 新鮮な野菜や冷凍食品などの注文した品は、翌週の水曜日に自宅の玄関に届けられます。 数年前までは、注文した商品が届いたら、ボクがすぐに開梱して冷蔵庫などに保管していました。 しかし、妻が水曜日に休むようになったので、もうその必要はありません。 このサービスのおかげで妻は時間を節約できています。
今でも近所のスーパーマーケットに買い物に行きますが、毎日行く必要はなく、週に数回だけで済んでいます。また、妻のエネルギーの節約にも役立っています。 野菜などの重いものを運ぶ必要がありません。 さらに、このサービスはとても親切で、協力的です。 マンションのエレベーターが使えない時、配達員が注文した商品をマンションの5階の玄関まで運んでくれました。つまり、このサービスは妻にとってなくてはならないもので、このサービスの利用をやめることはありえません。
でも、これに加えて、別の宅配サービスの利用を始めました。オイシックスの宅配サービスです。 このサービスは、生協とは少し違います。 調理済みの冷凍食品を届けてくれます。 そのため、妻は食事を作る必要がなく、解凍して温めるだけで済みます。 今のところ、週に数回、このサービスを利用しており、夕食で食べています。 食事は美味しくて気に入っています。 ただ、味が少し濃いめです。 若い世代をターゲットにしているようです。
