June 5, 2023: Accidents(1) （交通事故（１））

Fortunately, I had no serious accidents in Europe. But in Japan, I had three accidents. They all happened when I was a minor. I had the latest one when I was a high school student. I was cycling on the way to my high school and going straight down a small crossing. Then a car suddenly appeared in front of me. I tried to stop my bike with the brakes, but failed. So I hit the vehicle and fell off, injuring my left hand. It was so swollen that I asked the driver to take me to a hospital. I was examined and found that my hand was twisted. After that, I cycled to school as I had nothing wrong with me except for my left hand.
My second accident happened when I was in the 3rd year of junior-high school. I had it again at a crossing. It was when I was cycling on the way to my home from school. I hit a vehicle at the crossing and fell off. Fortunately, I had no pain anywhere in my body at the time and had nothing wrong with me. So I went home on my bike. But the next day was a disaster. I had pain all over my whole body. And what is worse, I had to sit an entrance examination for high school two days later.

　欧州にいた時は交通事故にあうことはありませんでしたが、日本では3回交通事故にあいました。いずれも、ボクが未成年の時です。記憶に新しいのは高校生の時の事故です。自転車で通学している時に、交差点を直進しようとしたら、突然、車が突然曲がってきました。慌ててブレーキを掛けましたが間に合わず、車の側面に衝突し、倒れてしまいました。そのおかげで、左手が大きく腫れてしまい、痛かったので、衝突した車のドライバーに病院に連れて行ってもらいました。診察の結果、捻挫だけですみました。
　２回目の事故は、中学3年生の時です。前回と同様、交差点での事故でした。この時は、自転車で学校から帰宅の途中でした。交差点で、車の衝突し、倒れてしまいました。この時は、幸いにも体に痛みはなく、どこも悪くなかったので、自転車で家に帰りました。でも、翌日は最悪でした。体中が痛かったです。おまけに、２日後には高校の入学試験が控えていました。
