 I would first like to say, most of the English taught and used in Japan is (American English).                                                                                         まず、日本で教えられ、使われている英語のほとんどは（アメリカ英語）です。

In this article of mine, I will provide some examples of the subtle differences between the two most prominent variations of English (American English, and British English).                                                       私のこの記事では、英語の2つの最も顕著なバリエーション（アメリカ英語とイギリス英語）の微妙な違いの例をいくつか紹介します。

Spelling, pronunciation, and words, in these three parts of English are where some differences between British and American English become apparent.                                                                                                           英語のこれらの3つの部分の綴り、発音、および単語は、イギリス英語とアメリカ英語のいくつかの違いが明らかになるところです。

To say it very plainly, American English came from British English, and American English is more simplified in a few ways.                                        非常にわかりやすく言うと、アメリカ英語はイギリス英語から来ており、アメリカ英語はいくつかの点でより単純化されています。

For example, these are some words which are spelled differently in American English, "colour", and "centre".                                                   たとえば、これらはアメリカ英語、「色」、「中心」で異なる綴りの単語です。

In American English: (Color) (Center) アメリカ英語：(Color) (Center)

Both are correct, however, you must be consistent with whichever one you want to use. One should not write a word in American spelling, then write another in British English. There is an exception to this rule when it is regarding names of places, and things.
The only time there might be a requirement for a specific type of English is if it is meant for an official document.                                                        どちらも正しいですが、どちらを使用する場合でも一貫している必要があります。 アメリカ式の綴りで単語を書いてから、イギリス英語で別の単語を書くべきではありません。 場所や物の名前に関しては、この規則には例外があります。
特定の種類の英語が必要になるのは、それが公式文書を対象としている場合のみです。

So, it might be quite interesting to observe daily things like store names and written text to see which type of English is used.
In Japan, most things are in American English rather than British English.
This can also be used to identify whether a person learnt English in America or a British English country.                                                            ですから、店名や文章など日常を観察して、どのタイプの英語が使われているかを見るのはとても面白いかもしれません。
日本では、ほとんどのものはイギリス英語ではなくアメリカ英語です。

These words are almost exclusively used in Great Britain, although they would be understood in other English speaking regions as well.              これらの単語は、他の英語圏でも理解されますが、ほとんど英国でのみ使用されています。

These are the American versions. These are different words, but they are very similar in meaning.                                                                                 これらはアメリカ版です。これらは異なる言葉ですが、意味は非常に似ています。

(Perhaps=Maybe) (Delightful=Wonderful) (Sort=Type)
