•MUNAについて
MUNA(読み方:ムーナ)とは、
Katie Gavin(ケイティ・ギャビン)、
Josette Maskin(ジョゼッテ・マスキン)、
Naomi McPherson(ナオミ・マクファーソン)
の3人からなる米・ロサンゼルスのポップ・バンドです。2013年から活動しており、これまでにアルバムを3作リリースしています。最近ではTaylor Swiftのツアーに同行したり、交流の深いboygeniusや、Rina Sawayamaとパフォーマンスを行うこともありました。
The Japanese HouseのAmber Bainとは以前から交流があるそうです。メンバーが全員クィアで、Amberはクィアのアーティストと仕事をすることが当たり前でなかった時は男性ばかりと仕事をしてきたことに気が付かなかったと言い、”Morning Pages”制作時はかなり特別な空間で仕事が出来たことで素晴らしい経験になったと話しています。
下の動画は、MUNAによる3作目のセルフタイトル『MUNA』リリース時のインタビュー動画で、解説中に座っている場面で中心がケイティ、左側がジョゼッテ通称Jojo、右側にいるのがナオミです。noteでMUNAの曲も和訳出来たらいいなと思っています。
