【Day 176】

I woke up at 5 am this morning and went surfing in Manly.

 This was my first time to surf such an early time, and I thought like, “this is great”. Because after getting back home I could have enough time to spend the rest of the day with my family.

In the afternoon, my wife brewed her first batch, Pacific Pale Ale with extract brewing which was chosen by Dave, the owner of the home brewing shop, yesterday. It’s only 50 dollars for 23 litter beer. 

Today, I was her teacher and assistant at the same time.

It’s extract brewing as I mentioned, so It should have been pretty easy. But I dropped a hydrometer and broke it while preparation. And also, I forgot to tell her to throw away the sanitizer after sanitized the fermenter. Additionally, I lost the tin-opener so that we had to ask my neighbor to borrow it.

I think I was so tired that I lost my concentration as I surfed quite a long time.

Anyway, once fermentation starts, everything is no problem. 

By the way, I think having her get involved in my hobby is a good idea to spend more time and money with her understanding.
