Please tell us about your career so far
After I graduated I started in the food and beverage industry. I started living alone when I was 16. I was always somewhat worried about money so my motivations for starting in the food and beverage industry was that I would be able to eat delicious food. Through that company I got to learn much about human relationships and how society works.
After that, I obtained the national qualification to be a hairstylist and started managing a few salons in Japan. I spent a few years working in Japan and then I decided to go to Vancouver in Canada on a working holiday visa. I spent about a year in Canada and then after that I moved to Singapore to work for a salon. When I was interviewing in Singapore I told them that I would like to open my own shop in 2 years. They were all right with that and offered me anyway. Now I run 2 salons in Singapore and it's my 8th year in Singapore.
