Hidden gem

Do you think it’s easy to make friends on the internet? I think it’s much easier to find people with similar hobbies, personality or thoughts online than in real life as they tend to gather in the same spaces. Even though I find the best way to make friends is by meeting up multiple times and getting to know each other, but sometimes someone’s writing style or the photos they take can capture who they are better than you might expect. Or rather, they might express themselves better than when you meet them in person. I often find myself drawn to the ambiance someone creates, their photos, illustrations, writing styles. Even though I never know who they look like, I can see what is glittering inside them. (Sometimes someone's vehement hatred, ugly thoughts are shown, though.) But, hmm, these things only apply to people who have a habit to post on social media… how can I know about those who don't?
