この人による以外に救はない。
わたしたちを救いうる名は、これを別にしては、
天下のだれにも与えられていないからである」。

この聖句は、イエス・キリストによる救いを信じることが、救済への唯一の道であることを示しています。
救済とは、人間が罪から救われること、永遠の命を得ることを指します。
人間の罪とは、創世記3章で神の命令に背いたことに始まり「原罪」と言われます。
人は神の御心に反した「的外れな人生」をしています。
聖書は、全ての人は罪人であるといっています。
罪を贖うには、神への神聖な犠牲の血の捧げものが必要です。
聖書は、歴史上、唯一罪のない方はイエス・キリストだけであり、イエスは人類の罪の贖いのために十字架で死んだと教えています。
その贖いの業を信じることが救いであり、天国へ行くものとされます。
私は、イエス・キリストの十字架が私の罪の為であったと告白し、感謝の祈りをします。

Salvation refers to man's salvation from sin and eternal life.
Human sin is referred to as "Original Sin," beginning with disobedience to God's command in Genesis 3.
Man lives a "life off the mark" against God's will.
The Bible says that all men are sinners.
Atonement for sin requires the offering of the divine sacrificial blood to God.
The Bible teaches that the only sinless person in history is Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to atone for the sins of mankind.
Belief in that work of redemption is salvation and is what will take us to heaven.
I confess that the cross of Jesus Christ was for my sins and I pray a prayer of thanksgiving.
