· Importance of God's Word: The Bible teaches that God's Word is His own will and gives us eternal life. John 8:12 says, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." It is written, "I am the light of the world.
· Promises of God's Word: God's Word contains promises of salvation, peace, blessings, eternal life, and more for us. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Faith is being sure of the things hoped for and certain of the things not seen." It is written, "And we are confident of what we hope for, and of what we do not see.
From this verse we can draw three important lessons
1. make God's Word the compass of your life.
The words, "The grass withers, the flower wilts. shows us that everything in this world is fleeting. Our glory, wealth, and power will eventually fade away.
But the words, "But the word of our God endures forever," tell us that God's word is eternal and unchanging. God's Word gives true direction and guidance to our lives.
2. make God's Word our daily bread
The words, "The grass withers, the flower wilts." suggests that we cannot live by our own strength and ability.
But the words, "But the word of our God endures forever," tell us that God's word provides us with spiritual nourishment and strong support. By studying and practicing God's Word as our daily food, we can grow spiritually.
3. not doubting the Word of God
The words, "The grass withers and the flower wilts." The words, "The grass withers and the flower wilts," indicate that it is easy to lose hope in the various difficulties and trials we face.
But the words, "But the word of our God never changes," tell us that the word of God has the power to overcome any difficulty. By believing God's Word and walking without doubting, we can attain true peace and victory.
I pray that we will make God's Word our compass for life, our daily bread, and that we will follow God's guidance and live a life filled with hope and peace.
