Hello everyone, welcome to today’s episode of my podcast! This podcast is about my daily life in Brisbane, Australia as a native Japanese-speaking learner of English.  This podcast is bilingual, using both English and Japanese.

皆様こんにちは  今日も聞いてくださってありがとうございます。この Podcast はオーストラリア　ブリスベンに住んでいる私が「ねぇ聞いて。こんなことがあったの」という出来事を英語 日本語の両方使って話す Voice logをお届けする ポッドキャストです。

As I am still learning English which is my second language, so please excuse my errors and feel free to correct my English or be kind to my English with errors. I hope my English is understandable to all of you!

なんと、このエピソードで100エピソード目でございます!
いやー嬉しいですね。こんなに楽しくこのエピソードを続けられると思っていませんでした。もうこれは、毎回聞いてくださっている皆さんのおかげです。本当にありがとうございます！！！（ビックリマークがいくつあっても足りません）

So in today's episode, I would like to reflect on the journey of this podcast.

そんなわけで、今日はこのpodcast 100回記念と言うことで、今までの振り返りをしていきたいと思います。

Over these 100 episodes, I have experimented with several formats. Initially,I used to share my short journal entries and then select three vocabulary words or expressions that resonated with me, explaining their meanings.
I realise that introducing new vocabulary through podcast format is not good as listeners can not see the spelling of the vocabulary, which is a bit tricky to understand so I quit the segment. 

100回しかやってないですけど、コロコロとフォーマットを変えさせていただいています。元は、自分の短い日記をお話しして、その中から3つの単語とか表現をお話ししていました。まぁただですね3つの表現ですとかをpodcastのフォーマットでお伝えするのはスペリングとかがわからないのであんまり良くないのかなと思って、 (ただ聞いているだけで面白いにしたかったので) そういった説明コーナーはやめさせていただくことにしました。

Then, I divided the podcast into mainly two parts, an English diary and a Japanese diary. 
Initially, I only provided the same content in different languages, without discussing my daily life in this bilingual format. However, as a listener, I might forget the contents or words discussed in the other language. For example, even if there were unfamiliar words that I had never encountered before, I would keep speaking in English for 2 or 3 minutes before mentioning the translation in Japanese. If I were a listener, I might forget the English content or words. To address this issue, I changed to a bilingual style where I discuss a topic in English for two or three sentences and then provide the Japanese translation.

その後ですね、podcastを大きく2つのパートに分けました。英語日記の部分と、日本語の訳の部分ですね。(今みたいに交互で話してなかったんです)
このフォーマットにした時は、英語だけで3分ほど、その後日本語だけで3分ほどと言語ごとにまとめて話していました。
たまに自分でポッドキャストを聞いてみるんですが、その時に、
「あ、これはあんまりいいフォーマットじゃないなぁ」と思いました。
例えば、英語日記の部分を聞いてくださって、わからない単語が出てきたときに、私2ー3分ずっと英語で話し続けるので、そのわからなかった英語をすぐ忘れちゃうなと思いまして。そして、日本語訳の部分を聞いても英語のどの部分に該当するのかわかりづらくて。
ポッドキャストだけで全てが完結するほうがいいかなと思いまして（文字起こしなど見なくても面白いほうがいいかなと）、英語・日本語を交互に話すスタイルに変えました。

I feel the style is really good for me to listen to while I am doing some other task such as cooking or driving. Also, the number of the audience is still small, however, compared to the beginning, the audience is growing. It might be because of the change in the format, I assume. 

個人的には、この英語・日本語を交互に話すスタイルはながら聞きをするポッドキャストには ストレスなく聞けるのでいいなぁいいなと思っています。
あとですね、ポッドキャスト始めた頃に比べるとリスナーさんの数が増えました。（といっても数えられるくらいですが）多分、この英語・日本語交互スタイルが功を奏したのかしら？と思っています。

So the next thing I need to do is to improve my English pronunciation or content. In terms of pronunciation, I feel my pronunciation is still not clear enough and does not have good rhythms or an incorrect accent. So I would like to try to improve it as I want my listeners to feel "I can learn something new through listening to this podcast". In order to listen to this podcast comfortably and encourage listeners to learn something new, I would like to make an effort to improve my pronunciation. 

さて、これからがんばろうと思っていることは、英語の発音と内容を深めることですかねぇ。
発音については、まだまだリズムとかアクセント、音自体もまだまだだなぁと思っています。聞いている皆さんに「なんか今日も学んだ気がする〜」とか「勉強した気がする」と思っていただけるポッドキャストにしたいなぁと思うので、ストレスなく聞き続けられるものを作っていきたいです。
そんなわけで、まずは発音（アクセントもろもろ）を頑張りたいと思います！！

In terms of content, I feel my content did not have a summary or conclusion enough, so I also need to consider concise ideas or content. So, I am considering talking about a summary of the episode every time if possible. It might be good to finish the episode well in my opinion. 

内容については、まとめをしっかり入れていきたいと思います。そうすると、簡潔にポッドキャストの内容などが頭に入ってくるかと思うので。
なるべく、「今日のまとめ」のコーナーを作って、きれいにエピソードを終わらせていきたいなぁと思います。

Yeah, so my podcast always talks about my normal daily life in Brisbane, Australia. It might be not the most exciting life but I try to create this podcast to tell "I am doing well in a different country" to my close friends or so. So, my episodes might not be full of adventure, however, I would strive a content like Miso soup and rice for Japanese. I mean even though eating them every day, you won't get bored. This is my aim for the podcast. 

私のポッドキャストって、「ブリスベンの普通の日常」をお届けしているんですよ。全然キラキラしていない日常なんですが、友達に「あ、わたし元気でやってますよ〜」と知らせるようなイメージでやっています。
なので、「毎日ワクワク」「毎日ドキドキ」みたいなものをお届けはできないんですが（ていうか表現が古い）
お味噌汁とご飯のようにですね、「素朴だけど毎日食べても飽きのこない」　そんなポッドキャストを私も作っていきたいなぁと思っています。（伝われ！この気持ち）

To summarise today's episode, I reflected on my podcast as I celebrate 100 episodes. In this episode, I have talked about 
1: The history of my podcast and the gradual change I made. 
2: My next goal which involves improving my pronunciation and contents
3: The overall aim of my podcast. Creating this podcast to be like Miso soup and rice for the Japanese. 

そんなわけで、今日のエピソードでは、100回おめでとう〜ということで自分のポッドキャストを振り返ってみました。
今日のエピソードでは

1: 私のポッドキャストの歴史とマイナーチェンジについて
2: 次の目標（発音と内容の強化）
