3回目の個展を終えて

個展を終えて後処理も大体終わり、思った事や気づきをまとめます。

・今回は珍しくほぼ平面作品のみのスタンダードな展示でしたが
搬出搬入はやはりそれなりに労力がいりました。
今回の規模くらいなら一人で完結しますが、これ以上の量と規模になると
さすがに人手が必要になります。
・作品を表に出すという事
作品は、作って飾って終わりではなく出す以上は人に伝える必要が
あるとつくづく思います。もちろん作品そのものとキャプションに
要約して見せる事も大事ですが、自分が材廊している時はなるべく
来場者とお話をするようにしています。
WebやSNS上だとコメントのやり取りは可能ですが
全てが伝わるわけではない。あと、絵描きやものつくりの人に
多いのが、作って出して終わりの人が多いというところ。
プロモーションをするのが私も自分自身なので、
見てもらうためにはそれなりの発信が必要だと感じました。
人と話すのが苦手なコミュ症なタイプの人は沢山いると思いますが
自分の作品を広めるためには、周りにプレゼンしていくことが
不可欠なので、苦手とか言ってられないなと思います。（自戒）
喋るのが苦手ならある程度文章で補足したり、
ある程度喋れるのなら直接話した方がいいなと。
まさに「待ち」の姿勢では誰も寄ってこないと思いました。
また、ここでもかなり客観視が必要になります。
アートやイラストなどクリエティブなジャンルは
案外外から見ると閉鎖的で入りづらかったりします。
なので内輪な姿勢で盛り上がっていると、まず知らない人は
あまり寄ってこないし興味があっても近づけないです。
私は作品を通してアートを色んな人にフランクに楽しんでもらいたい
のもありつつ、かといってポップに寄せて消費材にするつもりはないです。
ただ、人の好奇心をくすぐるものは、自然と「何だろう」と寄ってきてくれる
事があるので、興味を持ってくれるような工夫や雰囲気づくりは
展示をする上で改善していこうと思いました。

今後いくつかフィジカル展示を予定しているので
また色々と気づいたら書いていきます。

I want people to enjoy art in a frank manner through my works.
