古き良き音楽の都。
ここで歌姫は美しい産声をあげた。
父は骨董品の蓄音機。
母は由緒あるパイプオルガン。
教会の鐘の音に合わせて泣いたとか。
鳥が集まるため、生家は鳥屋敷と呼ばれた。
幼い歌姫の声に呼び寄せられたのだ。
近所の子どもにいじめられることが多かった。
近所の大人にくすぐられることも多かった。
皆、歌姫の泣き声や笑い声を聴きたかったのだ。
やがて歌姫は美しい娘に育った。
教会で賛美歌を歌うと、国王陛下も聴きに来た。
そして、同行の王子が一耳惚れの一目惚れ。
すぐに国を挙げての結婚式。
幸福な日々。
そして、男子の誕生。
王家も国民も大喜び。
高名な音楽家からお祝いの楽譜が届いた。
それは美しい旋律の子守唄。
歌姫が歌うと、赤ん坊は安心して眠った。
つられて王子も眠った。
国王も后も臣下も眠った。
安心したのか平民も眠った。
すべての国民が眠ってしまった。
歌い疲れ、歌姫も眠ってしまった。
それでも歌姫は、夢の中でも歌い続けている。
