【語り】世界超能力コンテスト

ある国際的な秘密結社主催による
世界超能力コンテストが秘密裏に開催された。

このコンテストにおける「超能力」とは
通常の人間には実行できない特殊能力を意味する。

科学的に説明できない超自然的な能力とは限らない。
たとえば、世界一足の速い人も超能力者とする。

つまり、ギネスブックに名が載るような人は
大雑把ではあるが、すべて超能力者と言えよう。

ノーベル賞受賞者なども同様。

ただし、それでは際限ないので
某秘密結社にとって利用価値の高い能力に絞られる。

また、本人にはコンテストに参加しているとも
選考されているとも知らされていない。

一部の例外はあるものの、能力調査や選別試験は
あくまでも秘密裏に行われたのである。

さて、そのコンテストであるが
意外な結果が出た。

複数エントリーされた超能力ジャンルにおいて
ある人物がすべて第一位を獲得したのである。

その人物が持ついくつかの超能力とは　
煎じ詰めれば、たったひとつの能力に還元できる。

それは透視や念力など、本来の意味の超能力より
遥かに実用価値の高い能力と言えよう。

その特殊能力とは、すなわち

「とにかくコンテストで第一位を獲得する能力」
である。

World Supernatural Power Contest

A global supernatural power contest hosted
by an international secret society was held in secret.

"Supernatural power" in this contest means a special ability
that can not be performed by ordinary people.

It is not always a supernatural ability
that can not be explained scientifically.

For example, the fastest person in the world
is also considered as person with supernatural power.

In other words,
people whose names are listed in the Guinness Book,
though roughly,
can all be said to be person with supernatural power.

The same goes for Nobel Prize winners.

However, since it is unlimited,
it can be narrowed down to highly valuable capabilities
for the secret society.

Also, they are not informed that
they are participating in the contest or being selected.

With some exceptions,
the ability survey and screening tests
were conducted in secret.

By the way, it is the contest,
but the surprising result came out.

In the supernatural power genre with multiple entries,
one person has won the first place.

Some supernatural powers of the person
can be reduced to a single ability in summary.

It can be said that
it is a capability with much higher practical value
than the natural meaning supernatural power
such as fluoroscopy and psychokinesis.

That special ability is
"the ability to win the first place in the contest anyway."
