【童話】不服従な従者

昔、ある国の王宮に
不服従な従者がいました。

国王が命令を下しても
従者のくせに従わないのです。

王宮から追い出そうとしても従いません。

国王の弱みを握っているのか
従者は拘束されることもありません。

「国王は先代の遺言に縛られているのだ」

そのような
まことしやかな噂さえ聞こえます。

そういうわけで
国王の悩みは尽きませんが
国の治世は立派になされていました。

ある時、国王が側近にもらしたそうです。

「あいつを従わせるくらいなら
　国民を従わせるなど、たやすいこと」

なるほど。
そういうこともあるかもしれませんね。
　

Disobedient Servant

In the past,
a royal palace in a country had a disobedient servant.

He does not obey even if the king gives orders.

He does not obey when trying to get out of the palace.

The servant is not detained,
