24日目 The 24th Day - 交換留学に行けなくなった話 ① About the student-exchange programme was suspended ①

去年の4月から交換留学に行く予定でした。
I was supposed to study abroad as an exchange student from April last year.

でもその前に、コロナが流行ってしまいました。
But before that, corona viruse started going around.

結局行けなくなりました。
At the end, I couldn't study abroad as an exchange student.

行き先は日本の秋田でした。
The destination was Akita, Japan.

3月の頭に、外国人の入国禁止というニュースを見て、すごく心配してました。
In the beginning of March, I saw the news of forbidding foreigners from entering Japan and I was so worried.

3月9日から入国できないと、ニュースが言ってました。
The news said foreigners can't enter Japan starting from the 9th of March.

なので、3月7日に日本に行くことにしました。
Therefore, I decided to go to Japan on the 7th of March.

コロナが流行ってるにもかかわらず、日本に行きました。
Corona virus was going around, but I still went to Japan.

それほど日本に交換留学に行きたかったです。
It shows my desire for studying in Japan.

結局自分の国に帰ってほしいといわれ、香港に帰ってきたんだけど、日本にいた時間はいい思い出になりました。
Finally I was told to go back to my own country and I came back to Hong Kong, but the time I was Japan become good memories.
