私が買ったもの ： その２８ 墨運堂 文鎮 和同文鎮 2本組 おまけでICUのこと
この記事に書いたように、図書館で借りてきた本や、自分で買った本の頁をスキャナーでスキャンしている。
その時、本が閉じないように、手近にあるものを重しに使っているが、文庫本は、うまく固定することができない。
そういう時には文鎮がいいかもしれないと思って、買ってみた。
案外ずっしりしていて重たい。
さっそく、試してみた。
写真の右端に置いてあるのが、その文鎮である。これでスキャン作業が楽になった。
文鎮の入っていた紙箱には、注意書きのシールが貼られていた。
開封方法 ： 両方のフタを開けて文鎮を出してください
確かに、両方のフタを開けて、片側から押し出すとのが一番いいやり方だった。問い合わせがあったせいかもしれないが、細やかな心配りである。
ところで今回スキャンした頁によると、本の著者は、イノベーション理論で有名なシュンペーター氏と一緒に勉強したそうだ。シュンペーター氏は今でもその名前を聞くことがあるが、歴史学者であるK.E.ボールディング氏の名前はほとんど聞かれなくなった。
ボールディング氏は１９６３年から１９６４年にかけて、国際基督教大学（ICU）で教えたが、生徒の中には、マルクス主義者も少なからずいたということである。後に、小室眞子さんが、今の夫と知り合った大学でもある。
また、この記事で触れた、私が初めて洋式トイレを使ったところでもある。大学受験で唯一受けた私立大学であり、二度と行くことはなかった。
後にTOEICを受けた時、非常に長いリスニングがあり、膨大な英文を読んだが、この大学の試験問題もそれと似ていた。
机も下の写真のような形で机の表面積が狭かった。プラステック製だったかもしれない。今気がついたが、左利きの人には不利に思える。
他の大学との違いが多くて、印象に残っている。

As I wrote in this article, I use a scanner to scan the pages of books I borrowed from the library and books I bought myself. I use a nearby object as a weight to keep the book from closing when I scan it, but paperback books cannot be fixed well. I thought a paperweight might be a good idea for such a situation, so I bought one. It is surprisingly heavy.
The paperweight is on the far right of the photo. This makes scanning easier. A cautionary sticker was affixed to the paper box that contained the paperweight.
How to open: Please open both lids and take out the paperweight
Certainly the best way to do it was to open both lids and push it out from one side. It may be because there was an inquiry. It is a delicate concern.
By the way, according to the page I scanned this time, the author of the book studied with Mr. Schumpeter, who is famous for innovation theory. Schumpeter is still mentioned by name, but the historian K.E. Bolding is rarely heard.
Bolding taught at the International Christian University (ICU) from 1963 to 1964, and it is said that some of his students were Marxists. It is also the university where Mako Komuro later met her now-husband.
It's also where I used the Western-style toilet for the first time, which I mentioned in this article. It was the only private university that I accepted in my university entrance exams, and I never went there again.
Later, when I took TOEIC, there was a very long listening test and I read a huge amount of English, and the exam questions at this university were similar.
The surface area of the desk was narrow as shown in the photo below. It may have been made of plastic. I just noticed that it seems to be a disadvantage for left-handed people.
There are many differences from other universities, which left an impression on me.
