「男尊女卑」って英語でいうとどんな感じ？

もはや日本も平等社会になってきましたが、
まだまだ、古い慣習残ってますねー。

オリンピックでも問題になったように
まだまだ古い世代は「男尊女卑」の世界続いてますねー。

Dan-son-jo-hi, Male-dominated society is the society that woman are regarded as inferior to men and their subjection to men is considered a matter of course. (男尊女卑の社会では女性は男性に劣るものとされ、男性に従属することが当然と考えられています。）

2020年4月の帝国データバンク調査によると、116万社の日本企業全体に占める女性経営者の割合は、8％と全体の1割以下、まだまだ実際には男尊女卑社会が続いていますね。戦後の女性運動以降の動きを英語で説明すると、こんなかな、、、

The equalty of the sexes was not actually established until after World War II, although there were occasional feminist movements during the early part of the 20th century. The sexism still exists today expecially in the business world. (20世紀の初頭、女性平等運動が起こりましたが、第二次世界大戦後にならないと性の平等は実現されませんでした。ビジネス社会においては未だに性差別が存在しています。）

ただし、表の数字に出てくる側面だけで判断すべきじゃないですよねー。SNS、過去10年、（全然違う名前も含めて（笑））色々やってきましたが、断然女性の方がアクティブですね〜。実際には色々と変わってきたかな。

Women’s position in society has been much improved since the end of the war. It should be remembered that a wife helping her husband on and off with his overcoat or opening a door for him is not necessarily a victim of sexism; she maybe doing so out of kindness, or just from habit and custom. Hope this would be other way round in the near future, though.
(戦後女性の社会における立場は大きく改善されました。女性が夫のコートを脱がせてあげたり、ドアを開けたりしてあげるのは必ずしも性差別の犠牲というわけではなく、親切心や単なる慣習として行なっているのかもしれません。近い将来、このような慣習の男女の立場が入れ替わることを期待しますけど。）
