Nigeria Diary #008

英語で書いてみました!日本語版はこちらです😊

I literally have nothing to do today.
even though Im in Nigeria for the first time, it is not that safe to do something by, myself especially someone who is Asian and woman, my favorite things to do is walking outside but it is also dangerous,  im also doing the Fasting with my church for 2 weeks (for me, im fasting brekky and lunch).

So there's so much less opportunity to enjoy food which is my love language and all people I know in here are quite busy with work and study during the day.

I was told that everyone would be busy even before I came, but I still thought there would be one thing in a day that I could do with them.

However, Im so grateful for a few things. I was able to borrow the keyboard to play and in the house, there's Wifi (in Nigeria, some houses don't have it and many of them are not that great quality wifi).

Yesterday and today especially, I have nothing to do, so Im playing the keyboard from the morning I woke up, and Im fasting, so Im praying to God instead of eating.

and I spend extra time reading the bible than usual, and I feel God so so much closer.  To be honest, this is the best thing.

Also, I learned about Africa and Europe's continents' biography, now you can tell I was bored lol.

but honestly, it was a very good study, once I know more about this continent, I can have more conversations with local people smoother because quite a few people's backgrounds are still originally from other countries in Africa.

When we have nothing much to do, even though im on a trip, I can't really try the food (because I decided to do fasting), we easily can feel that we are wasting our time and experience.

and we wanna say lots of complaints but, when we choose to count the blessings that we have been given instead, we know we have been given more than enough grace in our life. it changes our perspective.

Let's choose to count blessings rather than what we don't have!!
