安達ロベルト 写真・水彩画作品展 【コーヒーと光の時間】

朝の透き通った光を浴びると目覚めのコーヒーが飲みたくなります。夜の暖かい街灯を見るとリラックスできるコーヒーが飲みたくなります。

コーヒーが光の記憶ととなりあわせにあるからです。

家族や友人、恋人とカフェに行きたくなります。

コーヒーが大切な人との時間をより親密なものにしてくれるからです。

Verveのコーヒー、光、そしてそこで過ごす時間を愛する画家・写真家の安達ロベルトがこのたび、それらを水彩画と白黒写真で表現します。

彼の友人がかつて地方から東京に来て、憧れの喫茶店でコーヒーを注文したときのこと。なかなか出てこないことに業を煮やした彼が、まだでしょうかと店員に尋ねたところ、こう言われたそうです。

「美味しいものには時間がかかるのよ。」

Verveのコーヒーは、その一粒一粒の豆が生産者によって育てられ、厳選され、乾燥され、海を超えて運ばれ、焙煎され、一杯一杯ていねいに抽出されて提供されます。その一杯のなかに、そのかけられた時間のなかに、無数のドラマがあります。

安達ロベルトは写真をフィルムで撮り、一枚一枚暗室で手焼きします。レンズを通った光をフィルムに焼き付け、それを手現像し、それを印画紙に焼き付けるます。その一枚に、その時間のなかに、無数のドラマがあると言います。

また水彩画は生き物のようです。その作画プロセスには水、つまり生命の象徴をたくさん使うからです。色がまるで意思を持つかのように動き、乾燥したとき、作者の想像を超えた色に仕上がることがよくあります。

展示期間中、写真家本人に撮影してもらえる日を用意しています。あなたのVerveでの時間、2021年の思い出が写真に息づくことに驚くことでしょう。

The clear light in the morning makes you want to drink a cup of coffee to wake up. A warm street light at night makes you want to drink a relaxing cup of coffee.

That's because coffee goes hand in hand with your memory of light.

You want to go to a cafe with your family, friends, or lover.

Coffee makes the time you spend with your loved ones more intimate.

Robert Adachi, a painter and photographer who loves Verve's coffee, light, and the time he spends there, has created a series of watercolor paintings and black and white photographs.

A friend of his once came to Tokyo from the north and ordered a cup of coffee at the coffee shop of his dreams. Frustrated by the slow delivery of his coffee, he asked the waitress if it was ready yet. She said,

"It takes time to make something good."

At Verve, every single bean is grown by the farmer, carefully selected, dried, transported across the ocean, roasted, and brewed to be served one cup at a time. There are countless dramas in each cup and in the time spent on it.

Robert Adachi takes photographs on film and prints each one by hand in the darkroom. The light that passes through the lens is burned onto the film, which is then developed by hand and transferred to photographic paper. There are countless dramas in each picture and in the time.

Watercolor is like a living thing. The process involves a lot of water- a symbol of life. The colors move as if they have a will of their own, and when they dry, they often turn out to be beyond the artist's imagination.

During the exhibition, there will be days when you can have your photo taken by the photographer himself. You will be amazed at how your time at Verve and your memories of 2021 will come to life in the photographs.
