今日取り上げるのは…

But she said nothing, went into the bed-room, took all the bedding off the bedstead, and laid a pea on the bottom; then she took twenty mattresses and laid them on the pea, and then twenty eider-down beds on top of the mattresses.

なかなかの長文です😅

英文は、だれが→どうする→何をといった順番で並んでいます。
意味のかたまりで区切って、日本語を当ててから、解説にとんでみてください。

それでは、説明していきたいと思います。

But she said nothing, / went into the bed-room, / took all the bedding off the bedstead, / and laid a pea on the bottom; / then she took twenty mattresses / and laid them on the pea, / and then twenty eider-down beds / on top of the mattresses.
しかし、彼女は何も言わなかった / 寝室へ行った / 寝台からすべての寝具をとった / そして、底に一粒のエンドウ豆を置いた / それから、彼女は20枚のマットレスを持ち込んだ / そして、そのエンドウ豆の上にそれらを置いた / その後、20枚のケワタガモの羽毛布団を (置いた) / マットレスの一番上に

同一人物 (前回出てきた the old queen) による動作の連続です。
大きな意味の流れとして bottom; を境に一息入れるとよいと思います。

文字を左から右に追いかけて読んでいくときに、右から左に戻ってしまうようなら、その前の情報がきちんと押さえられていないということになりますので、どこへ行ったのか？→ into the bed-room (寝室へ) → took (とった) →何を？→ all the bedding (すべての寝具を) → どこから？→ off the bedstead (寝台から) と、区切る幅を小さくして読んでいくとよいと思います。
