Concept

Send your avatar to the highest-ranked Michelin hotel in Shikoku to become your alter ego, and you'll be able to make your thought way to the hotel. By participating in the creation of a work of art by an artist (Tominaga Taishi) who stays on site, You will have an [virtual overnight experience]. The creation of the work will be uploaded on SNS from time to time, and you can also get an original artwork as a product.

Introduction and greetings

Hello, my name is Fukao and I'm the organizer of an art event at a hotel. I've decided to introduce the stay in hotel even if we can't travel as much as we'd like in these times! For those who want to experience a new kind of art using SNS, we have created an experimental We would like to do as a project.

What we want to achieve in this project

The artist's art activities and guest’s avatar as a medium for a virtual stay experience. We hope to discover new possibilities for lodging and art.

At the same time, through this project, we hope to revitalize the demand for hotels and expand the opportunities for artists. We would like to do this.

Why did I decide to do the project

I want to break the situation where it's not easy to go to hotels and resorts like we used to. And at the same time, the expansion of remote work is happening right now. The idea for this project came about because of the current situation that the content industry is experiencing new demands.

Past Activities

I am an architectural designer experienced hotels all over Japan and the world and hope to spread the attraction of hotels. However, I felt I would focus my activities in the direction of seeking a fun way to use them,more than just designing buildings.

Artist Profile

Kyoto-based artist Taishi Tomina will be the host artist for this project.

His approach to the mystique and poetic expansiveness of his work makes him a perfect fit for this project. (See link below.)

How the funds are used

Hotel accommodation and transportation (the majority of the weight), local meals, fees for the artists, materials, and This includes postage and operating labor costs.

1. Stayed overnight art shooting for avatars + artist drawing + making story distribution *SNS undisclosed amount

2. Stayed art shooting of avatars + making story distribution *unreleased on SNS

3.Only group photo shoot of avatars staying at the hotel (distributed via SNS)

As a general rule, the avatar (alter ego) you send is only one item, and it also can be a set of items such as playing cards, to building blocks, to socks, etc. The size should be within the range of 20cm in diameter and 9cm . If you have any other questions, please consult with us by email or other means in advance. We do not handle food and other items that cannot be stored or are not solid.
