As Trump used Kushner in secret behind the scenes to set up numerous secret domestic and foreign policy projects - such as the Abram Accords, which took almost 3 years to pull off while completely keeping most of the State Dept. in the dark - nobody was really digging into him or what he was up to.
Why would they?
It was obvious that Jared was some kinda traitor up to no good. Why send investigative reporters to follow him in around and try to suss out what he was really doing? The Lefty media loved that he and Ivanka were 'checking' the old man and sabotaging his agenda. The Right media was paralyzed and held mesmerized by the stories about Jared and Ivanka thumbing their noses at Trump behind his back.
It was brilliant.
AND IT WORKED.
