At around 5:47 p.m. on the 2nd, Japan Airlines Flight 516, which was heading from New Chitose Airport at Haneda Airport in Ota Ward, Tokyo, collided with a Japan Coast Guard aircraft immediately after landing.

There were 379 people on board Japan Airlines Flight 516, including 367 passengers, including 8 children, and 12 crew members, but all of them reportedly escaped from the aircraft. According to the Tokyo Fire Department, at least 17 crew members and passengers were confirmed to be injured.

Meanwhile, according to the Metropolitan Police Department, five of the six people on board the Japan Coast Guard's fixed-wing aircraft were confirmed dead. In addition, the captain was seriously injured.
