METRONOMEが出来る事〜世界の取り扱いリテーラー様に〜

Instagramを通し、各世界のリテーラーに送付した文章です。

和訳をくれ、と日本の方に何回か言われたので、ここに記します。

Hello,

Thank you for the continued business with METRONOME.

I am Bisei, a designer of METRONOME.

World is now facing fear of unprecedented situation.

People are distressed with anxiety every day, not allowed to go outside and not knowing what to do with work. Japanese government finally declared a state of emergency in several areas and that includes Tokyo, the city I live.

MIDO 2020 has been cancelled and we are still not sure about other exhibitions scheduled in May.
Even SILMO 2020 can be cancelled.

Retailers must’ve been having hard time stocking, and so as manufacturers, suffering as we also have to pay for the employees.

The only things retailers can do now are:

・ Establishing EC website
・ Selling inventories
・ Survive somehow until the pandemic ends

However, end of COVID-19 is yet to be known which makes it hard for business to continue.

Midst such situation, I have come to an idea.

I will be sending you PM or e-mail for more details. If you receive it, please make sure to reply. To make sure, the message will be from me, and it’s not junk mail.

So, here is what I thought.

Unfortunately, METRONOME and I don’t have money to give or lend you. However, we have our products. What I can do now for you is to donate some of our products to you.

When you are starting your EC or when you are retailing after the disease goes away, hopefully our donation products will help your business in some way.

The reason we are doing this is, if you are or will not be able to do business, METRONOME will lose clients. If that happens, we cannot continue our business.

METRONOE has been able to continue and expand our business because of you.

Now, it is time for us to give something back to you.

Here is the overview.

・ Selection and quantities of the products will be decided by Bisei, based on the retailers’ business sizes and sales situations.
・ Soft cases and cleaning cloths will come together. Hard cases and external boxes will be included if requested. Shipping fee and custom duty of hard cases and external boxes (sent as samples or gifts) will be at your expense.
・ I have a connection in obtaining masks and will also be sharing them. The quantity is prospected to be around 50 – 100 masks per shop/company.
・ All of the above will be dispatched in early May, since the first stage of the state of the emergency is seen to end around then.
・ The products which have been ordered before, but yet to be delivered, will also be sent out in early May.

These are the only things we can do for now, but I am hoping to see you and share fun time with you at exhibitions again.

〜日本文〜

こんにちは。

いつもMETRONOMEを見てくれて、また取り扱いしてくれてありがとう。

私はBisei、METRONOMEのデザイナーです。

今、世界が未曾有の恐怖に覆われています。

全ての人が外にも出れず、仕事も何をしていいかわからない日々が続き、不安しかありません。私が住む東京も、とうとう非常事態宣言となりました。

そしてMIDOも中止になり、５月に開催されるかもどうかになっています。

今年のSILMOも、このままいくと微妙です。

リテーラーたちは仕入れもままならないし、僕たちメーカーもこのままでは何をしていいか、企業として人材を雇っている以上、なかなか苦難が続きます。

今のうちに、リテーラーさんができることといえば、

・ECサイトの構築、販売開始
・在庫の現金化
・この騒動が収束するまではなんとか店舗、会社が倒産せずに生き延びる事

がマストだと思います。

また、どうしても収束時期がいまだに読めないために、そこまでに耐えうる企業力が持つかどうかの問題となっているかと思います。

見えない敵と、開ける日がわからない日々の中、どうすればいいか、僕は考えました。

詳しくはDM、メールにて送付しますので、同じ内容がきた方は、必ずご返信をください。間違いなく僕からです、迷惑メールではありませんので。

僕は考えました。

僕が皆さんに出来る事といえば、当社、僕は今回の件で使えるお金は全くありません、お金はないので貸す事はできないが、METRONOMEの商品を僕から皆さんの会社に少し寄付させてください。

そして、ECサイトでの販売や、この事態が収束して「さあ、販売するぞ！」という時に、少しでもあなたたちの会社やお店の資金になれば、と思います。

なぜこのような事をするのか？というと、あなたたちがもし、今回のコロナウイルスの件で仕事ができなくなり、お店や会社がなくなってしまうと、悲しいし、私の顧客がいなくなる事は本当に今後私がブランドをしていく意味がなくなります。

METRONOEはみなさんが買ってくれたことにより、広まっていきました。

今度は僕たち、僕たちの会社が少しでもお返しをする番だと思っています。

以下、概要です。

・商品は、店舗規模に応じて販売、美生が協議し、商品の種類、量はこちらで決めさせていただきます。
・商品は送料の都合上、商品、ソフトケース、クリーニングクロスを付属します。通常のようにアウトボックス、ハードケースは付属しません。別途欲しい場合、ご連絡ください、送料、関税（こちらもサンプル、贈答で送付します）は御社負担でお願いいたします。
・また、Biseiのアパレルのコネクションから、マスクを手に入れることができましたので、黒のマスクを各店舗、会社に寄付させていただきます。量は１店舗、企業につき50~100枚を想定しています。
・東京の非常事態宣言第一弾が終了する5月初頭から、順次各国の各店舗、各企業に発送していきます。
・商品がまだきていないお店に関しては、その時に同時に発送とさせていただきます。

とにかく今は協力できることはこれのような事しか、僕と会社からはできませんが、なんとか皆で生き延びて、また展示会で笑顔で会えることを願っています。
