My learning English and Japanese

I have been learning Japanese with English.
At first,  I ask myself the following about my hoping word to tell in Japanese:

• Do I know the meaning of the word right?

• What situations have I ever used for the word?

• How did the other people receive them when I've used the word?

I try looking up the word, then find what quite many I didn't notice; I seem to have used it without realizing it. Next, I try looking for the English word for the word and have discovered an English word that is similar to the word.

Because I often feel like the words each have quite a similar sense of use, I think It's better to learn English while learning Japanese.

So, at first, I think having value in correctly knowing in what sense I use the word in Japanese.
