International Day of Peace

　本日９月21日は国際平和デー（International Day of Peace）というこで、平和の歌を共有したいと思います。

Peacebuilders

　以前、フィリピンのミンダナオ島で行われた平和構築の研修に参加しました。

　世界中から平和構築に携わる人々が集まって、共に過ごした３週間ーー。

　貧困地域や紛争地域で活動している人々、各宗教の宗教家、大学の講師や教授、政府機関で働く官僚、弁護士等が集まって、平和や紛争に関する意見交換、シミュレーション、ロールプレイを行いました。

　そこでは宗教の違いも関係ありません。毎日交互に、仏教、キリスト教、イスラム教、ヒンドゥー教のお祈りをしてからクラスが始まります。すべてのお祈りに、全員が参加します。

　本当に平和しかないような空間でした。

　国も宗教も言葉も文化も異なる人々が集まったその空間は、とても刺激的で、とにかく楽しく、色んなことを考えさせられました。人生の中でも大変貴重な時間でした。

　そんな中、この曲を知りました。

　教えてくれたのはマザーテレサの施設で活動するインド人のクラスメイトです。彼はいつも元気で、よく冗談を言っていました。同じクラスでロールプレイでは村長夫婦を演じたこともあり、一緒にいることが多く、気も合うためいつも大笑いさせてもらっていました。

　研修ではこの曲を聞きながらみんなで話し合い、そして、何度も一緒に歌いました。

　そう、思い出の曲です。
