英語日記#29 なぜラッキーピエロがすごいのか？

おはようございます。最近日記を毎日更新できておらず途切れてしまいました。毎日更新をしている人は、本当に凄いと思います。
good morning. Recently, I couldn't update my diary every day and it got cut off. I think people who update every day are really amazing.
今日は、私の地元が誇る名店ラッキーピエロを紹介したいと思います。
もしかしたら知っている人もいるかもしれませんが、函館発祥のハンバーガー屋です。ただのハンバーガー屋と思われた方も多いと思いますが、知られざるラッキーピエロの凄さを三つほどご紹介したいと思います。（本当はもっとあります）
Today, I would like to introduce Lucky Pierrot, a famous restaurant that my hometown is proud of.
As some of you may know, this is a hamburger restaurant that originated in Hakodate. I think there are many people who thought it was just a hamburger shop, but I would like to introduce three unknown amazing things about Lucky Pierrot. (actually there are more)
①開店当初からテイクアウト設計を丁寧にしている
今でこそアフターコロナになり、多くのお店がデリバリーに力を入れているが、ラッキーピエロは私が記憶している30年前くらいからデリバリーやテイクアウトの設計が丁寧に作られていると思います。例えば、レジで買って車で待つような顧客体験に対して、店員が車まで運んでくれたりします。店員の負担はあるにも関わらず顧客を大切にする気持ちを感じる事が多くあります。個人的にはマクドナルドのようなモバイルオーダーの導入も今後検討してほしいなと思います。
①Since the opening of the store, the takeout design has been carefully designed
Now that it's after corona, many shops are focusing on delivery, but I think that Lucky Pierrot has been carefully designed for delivery and takeout since about 30 years ago when I remember. increase. For example, in contrast to the customer experience of buying at the cash register and waiting in the car, the store clerk will bring it to the car. In spite of the burden on the store clerk, I often feel the feeling of taking care of the customer. Personally, I would like you to consider introducing mobile ordering like McDonald's in the future.
②メニューのバリエーションが半端ない
ハンバーガー屋と思って来店すると最初に驚くのはメニューの数だと思います。店舗によっての取り扱いの可否はありますが、カツ丼、オムライス、海苔弁、焼きそば、ナポリタンなど多くの人が大好きなメニューがずらりとあります。それが高いリピートを生んでいる秘訣だと思います。究極的には毎日行っても飽きない店なんです。高校生の時は本当に毎日行っていたと思います。それくらい地域の台所機能を担っていると私は考えます。
2) Variety of the menu is odd
I think the first thing that surprises you when you visit a hamburger shop is the number of menus. Depending on the store, it may or may not be available, but there are many menus that many people love, such as katsudon, omelet rice, seaweed bento, yakisoba, and Neapolitan. I think that's the secret to producing high repeats. Ultimately, it's a store that you won't get tired of even if you go every day. When I was in high school, I think I went there every day. I think that it is responsible for the kitchen function of the area.
③リタイア層が店内オペレーションを回している。
これが秀逸ですが、昨今アルバイトの確保が難しい中、ラッキーピエロは地方で人手が少ない場所にも関わらず多くの人が働いています。しかも60代から上の世代の方々です。しかも元気で生き生き働いています。少子高齢化が進む地方でも持続的に店舗運営ができている点として、高齢者の積極採用があると思います。今では、学生がスタバで憧れるくらい、函館の高齢者の中ではラッキーピエロで働いていることは誇らしい事だと思うくらいブランディングに成功していると思います。結果①のホスピタリティーにも繋がっているのだと思います。
(3) Retired people run the in-store operations.
This is excellent, but nowadays it is difficult to secure a part-time job, so many people work at Lucky Pierrot even though it is a rural area with few people. And people in their 60s and above. And they are alive and well. I think one of the reasons we are able to sustainably operate stores in rural areas where the birthrate is declining and the population is aging is that we are actively hiring seniors. Now, I think we have succeeded in branding so much that students look up to Starbucks, and the elderly people in Hakodate are proud to work at Lucky Pierrot. I think that it is also connected to the hospitality of result ①.
