いわない町は北海道の西側、積丹半島の付け根に位置する町
Iwanai Town is located on the western side of Hokkaido. It is the lower part of Shakotan Peninsula.
自動車で札幌から約２時間、ニセコから約４０分ほどにあります。
It is located approximately 2 hours from Sapporo and 40 minutes from Niseko by car.
小さい町ですが自然豊かで

市街地エリア
商店街には老舗も多く昔から町民に愛されるお店がたくさんあります
精肉店、鮮魚店、お寿司屋さん、カフェ等など…ここでしか食べられない「岩内の味」がいっぱい！
There are many old stores in the shopping district that have been around for decades. All of these charming stores are loved by the townspeople! There are many special dishes that can only be found in the town of Iwanai.
神明造の社殿には風格が漂い、また境内に足を踏み入れると清らかな空間に身も心も癒やされます。３つの鳥居に配された桜並木は見事で、桜の名所としても親しまれています。
The Iwanai Shrine is a place of purity and relaxation, and the rows of cherry trees lining the three torii gates are a magnificent sight.
円山エリア
キャンプ場、スキー場があり近くには温泉宿泊施設もあります。円山からの夜景は２０１８年に日本夜景遺産に認定され、北海道４大夜景とも言われ円山エリアは岩内観光の人気スポットです。
There is also a hot spring resort and a ski resort nearby. The night view of Iwanai is said to be one of the four best night views in Hokkaido. The Maruyama area is a popular sightseeing spot in Iwanai.
IWANAI RESORTには、ニセコ連峰の最西端標高1,086mの岩内岳に位置するスキー場があります。山頂付近から見下ろす日本海と積丹半島の大パノラマは絶景です。また岩内はニセコから４０分ほどの距離に位置していますが、賑やかなニセコとは違い静かで落ちついた雰囲気があるアットホームな町です。海を見下ろしながら滑るパウダースキーは格別です。
The panoramic view of the Sea of Japan and the Shakotan Peninsula from the top of the mountain is spectacular. Iwanai is located 40 minutes away from Niseko, but unlike the bustling Niseko, Iwanai has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere and is a homey town. Powder skiing while overlooking the ocean is exceptional.
雷電エリア
国道229号、雷電トンネルの寿都方面出口を出てすぐ。
駐車場内には、国道開通記念碑のレリーフが設置されているほか、海岸からそそり立つ絶壁の迫力に圧倒されます。
It is located just after the exit of National Route 229, Raiden Tunnel in the direction of Sutou. In the parking lot, a relief of a monument commemorating the opening of the national highway is set up, and the power of the cliffs towering up from the shore is overwhelming.
かわいい自慢のご当地キャラ「たら丸」
「ねじりハチマキ」「 黒い長靴」「タラコ唇」「岩内町産アスパラガス」が特徴のスケトウダラのたら丸くんです！誕生日は1985.8.9（昭和60年8月9日）2006年放送された「TVチャンピオンゆるキャラ日本一決定戦」で、全国のゆるキャラの中から選ばれ、見事準優勝に輝きました！
Taramaru-kun is a fish character characterized by his "twisted hachimaki," "black boots," "cod lips," and "asparagus produced in Iwanai Town! His birthday is August 9, 1985, and he won the second prize in a national character competition!
