2024/07/16「ダイエット」"Diet"

夏の日差しが照りつける朝、彼女はランニングシューズを履いて玄関を出た。毎日のダイエットが習慣となり、早朝のジョギングは欠かせないものになっていた。汗をかきながら、町の静かな通りを走る。近所の犬が彼女に向かって尻尾を振ると、それに軽く微笑み返しながら進んでいく。

仕事から帰宅すると、彼女はすぐに冷蔵庫を開ける。サラダの準備をするのが彼女の日課だ。カラフルな野菜たちを丁寧に洗い、鮮やかなサラダボウルに盛り付ける。彼女のスマートフォンにはカロリー管理アプリがインストールされており、その日の摂取カロリーをきちんと記録していた。

ある日、彼女は昔の友人から久しぶりに連絡を受けた。二人はおしゃれなレストランで再会することに決めた。席について話し始めると、彼女のダイエットの話題が自然と出てきた。「最近、頑張ってるのね」と友人が言うと、彼女は少し照れ笑いを浮かべた。「うん、なんとか続けてるんだ。自分のためにね」

その夜、帰宅後に彼女はふと昔の写真アルバムを取り出した。学生時代の写真を見ながら、懐かしい思い出が蘇ってきた。時間が経つのは早いものだ、と彼女は思った。しかし、今も昔も変わらないのは、自分を大切にする気持ち。ダイエットはその一部であり、自分を愛する一環なのだと感じた。

そして彼女は、これからも自分自身を大切にしながら、日々を積み重ねていくことを誓った。夏の夜風が心地よく、彼女の心に優しい灯りが灯った。

On a summer morning, she put on her running shoes and stepped out the front door. Her daily diet had become a habit, and an early morning jog was essential. Running through the quiet streets of the town, she broke into a sweat. A neighbor's dog wagged its tail at her, and she smiled back lightly as she continued on.

She carefully washed the colorful vegetables and arranged them in a vibrant salad bowl. One day, she received a long-awaited call from an old friend. They decided to meet at a stylish restaurant. As they sat down and started talking, her diet naturally came up. "You've been working hard lately," her friend said, and she blushed slightly. "Yeah, I'm trying to keep it up. For myself," she replied.

That night, she took out an old photo album after returning home. As she looked at photos from her student days, nostalgic memories resurfaced. Time flies, she thought. But what hasn't changed is her commitment to self-care. Dieting is part of that, a way of loving herself.

And so, she vowed to continue cherishing herself and building each day. The summer night breeze was pleasant, and a gentle light warmed her heart.
