個展 『文字の化石』 がミラノで始まりました。
初めて筆と紙を一切使わずに制作した作品展。
グラスに入れた墨をキャンバスに解き放つのみ。
自然と偶然の力をもっともっと作品の中に呼び込みたかった。
奇しくも共同制作者となった小さな虫の助けを借りて。
キャンバスは何かを描く画面ではなく、アクションの舞台でもない。
そこは自然現象を喚起する場となる。
いつも何か新しいものに向かって前進していきたい。

The exhibition “Fossil Characters” in Milan has started.
This is my first exhibition where I created works without any brush or paper.
Just release the ink in the glass onto the canvas,
in order to call natural phenomenon and accidentality more into my works,
with the help of a tiny insect who happens to be my co-creator.
For me, canvas is not something to draw upon,
not something to make action on,
but rather a ‘field for a natural phenomena to arise’.
I always hope to explore some thing new.
