My roommate was ...

Hello, there.
I'd love to share some unique stories today.

I took the lesson with teacher N; the topic was our routine.
She told me she returned home after work and thought of her dinner every day; if she ordered something.
I told her, In Japan, many office workers drop by the convenience stores on their way home to grab their dinner, beer, and some "otsumami" appetizers.

When I used to work at the wedding hall, I lived on the sixth floor of the building, and a convenience store was on the first floor.
The old couple ran it, and we had known each other since I dropped by there every morning and after work.

One day, I found something I didn't buy in my bag after getting home.
I wondered what had happened and suspected I had a "habit" I hadn't recognized myself.

The following day, I visited her and asked about that, and she said to me, "You always work hard, so it was present for you."
I was relieved indeed and thanked her.

After that, she often gave me food like rice balls, sandwiches, "nikuman" pork bun, and so on.
According to her, something like convenience stores is a stringent expiry date, so they need to throw away expired food; to avoid that, she sometimes shared with me.

It was about twenty years ago, and they seemed in their 70s then.
However, when my husband had an opportunity to visit there about two months ago, they were still working there and hadn't changed their outfits.
I'm curious about how old they are and miss them so much.

I shared another unique; I mean "weird" story with her.
It was also about living by myself.

One day probably it was my rest day; I opened a window of my bedroom to ventilate and closed it early evening.
After a while, I felt something wrong; I felt something existing.
I thought it was just imagination for the first time, but I could hear something flapping.
What?

I realized it was a bat.
Holy cow!

I turned off the light, left the room, and closed the door immediately.
I was unconditional acceptance for a while, and I had a strategy meeting by myself, and then I thought about what to do.

The result was; Open the entrance door and leave it open using a stopper, wear gloves, catch it on the wall gently, release it from the entrance door, and then close the door immediately.

When I caught it, it squeaked, but I made it!
It was my weird and unmemorable happening.
Never again!

That's all for today, and see you around.
