          龍照時は新潟市下本町に位置してます。 明治末から大正にかけて近くに暮らしてた作家の三芳梯吉に書かれた"砂丘物語"の中にその寺院の話しが出って、探しに行ってきた。 現在は一階建てですが、大正に新潟市唯一三階建て寺院でした。 そして本堂の扉の上に天保銭で'寺照龍'が書いてた。 いつかその銭が無くなったものの、影像が残ってます。 Ryusho Temple is mentioned in "The Story of a Dune", an illustrated book

          さぁ、地獄極楽小路の'地獄'とは? 反対側の右側を見ると。。。 そちらは地獄ではないだろう! 但し、目を伸ばすと。。。そうですね: 赤煉瓦、古くて、本格的なもの。 そして小路をまっすぐ歩くと。。。 高さ3メ-トル以上の長い赤煉瓦塀があります。 実は、1845-1971に牢獄所/刑務所があったそうです。赤煉瓦塀のある部分が保存され、 現在の西大畑公園中にも跡が若干残ってる。 そちらは地獄です。
