新潟市不思議巡り

確か明治か大正時代に建てられた。
This building in downtown Niigata, which today I have seen for the first time, is from Meiji or Taisho, considering the architecture.
An interesting feature is the plate on the door, which is a sort of early burglar alarm: if the lock were picked, a bell would sound. It was made by a watchmaker in the city of Takaoka, Toyama.

高岡市の伝統産業である、高岡銅器・高岡漆器の製造販売店（全27店）の案内リーフレットである。銅器は21店と写真2点、漆器は11店と写真1点が掲載されている。そのうち6店が「銅漆器商」である。それ以外は1店のみで、

「高岡市鴨嶋町／専売特許／覚眠錠製造元／二上外次郎」である（この現物資料は当館蔵）。

高岡の時計職人・二上外次郎が発明した専売特許品の覚眠器付錠である。 　正しい手順で開かなかった場合はベルが鳴り出す錠で、表上部には専売特許のプレートが取り付けられている。
