What is important things for father? Father’s role is important. I was thinking about how to be a “good” father. Parents should raise and discipline their children. However, there is no royal road to know how to raise our child.

I think the way depends on children. Some ways are suitable for some children, but not for others. The way how I was raised may not be good for my child. I’m anxious about whether I will be a good father.

For now, I think important things are responsibility, kindness, and patience. However, the most important thing is spending our time with children.

Father should be responsible for his children’s life, I think. We should not only secure our children but also discipline “properly”. It is important to keep thinking about it. We have to keep children’s security but it is not enough. If children are too grounded, they couldn’t learn how to manage their own life. Children can get knowledge if they just study but they can’t learn how to use the knowledge. Children should get capability in order to make their lives happy.

Kindness and patience are also important. When our kids make a mistake, parents have to allow them. Children can learn from their mistakes. We have to teach them how to learn from mistakes. It is easy to get angry. Just getting mad is not good for our children. We also need patience for it. From the adult’s perspective, children sometimes behave foolish. And they can’t understand what we say easily.

Finally, I believe the most important thing is spending time. We need time to interact with children. No matter what and how I think, it is meaningless without interaction. If parents are not with children, they can’t affect their children. I think it is tough for workers to find much time for interaction. In terms of me, I try to find enough time. 

How to raise my child? It is the most important and difficult question in my life..
