高度な技術力よりも、知識と発想力が大切かな？

以前、東大卒の人生を考える会様の記事を紹介したが、高度な数学や物理学の技術的な思考ができても、意外とお金を稼げないという説がある。ノーベル賞を受賞するほど突き抜けていれば話は別だが、ほとんどの理系技術者には無関係な話だろう。

結局、私の結論は「知識」と「発想力」（構想力）が大切、ということだ。この知識は、色々なものがある。会計、IT、英語、などだ。これらを組み合わせて、さらに発想力（クリエイティブな思考）もあると、稼げるようになる。

知識は、海外のものが重要な場合もある。いわゆるタイムマシン経営だ。日本人は、「英語が苦手」「忙しすぎて情報収集しない」の2点が理由で、アメリカなどの海外の情報に疎い。なので、アメリカのスタートアップを綿密に調べて、まだ日本に進出していないビジネスモデルを模倣したら、起業できてしまうこともあるだろう。このときも、専門知識がないと模倣できない分野であれば、ライバルは少なくなる。

なんで、こうなったのか？それは、ものづくりの敗戦が大きく影響していると思う。バブルの少し前は日本の半導体は世界の半分のシェアを占めていた。だから、物理学などの技術者はもてはやされていただろう。だが、今は製造業の多くの分野で敗北した。また、技術革新（イノベーション）がものづくりよりも情報技術にシフトして、その分野でも日本はアメリカに敗北した。そのため、高度な数学はシリコンバレーでは必要になるが、日本では、GAFAやSAP、Oracleが完成品としてつくったものを導入する知識しか求められないのだ。
