Aspect

Just out of curiosity, in Japan, conversations between strangers on the street or in shops hardly happen, but do they occur more frequently in other countries, even among introverted people? It’s because a British person currently living in Japan makes me wonder. He said, ‘Japanese people seem indifferent. They’re just whispering behind me and occasionally take a photo of me without permission. When I tried to start a conversation with someone, they didn't seem interested in talking.’ As for the photography aspects, I guess it might be a misunderstanding on his part. Because, I often see short videos where people from other countries say, 'I know you're taking a photo of me.' but in fact, they're just taking a selfie. Get back on topic, it's often said that Japanese have more shy and introverted traits, and I mostly agree with that. Additionally, I do relate to the opinion Japan is less open for immigrants, perhaps due to its emphasis on preserving culture, tradition, cleanliness, and this is further supported by considering the historical background where societal structures or norms have been shaped over centuries.

What was I talking about…? I put more enthusiasm into the topic than I intended to. Anyway, if anyone is in need, I'm willing to help them regardless of gender, age, and nationality.
Have a wonderful day.
