If we can maintain unwavering trust in the Lord, no matter what hardships we face, we can experience true joy.

In the latter part of the verse, it is stated that 'you will enjoy with his salvation'. This shows that the Lord's salvation does not merely free us from sin, but leads us to eternal life and gives us true joy. Those who believe in the salvation of the Lord can live a joyful life, both in this life and in eternal life.

Throughout Psalm 35, the psalmist experiences persecution and hardship from his enemies, yet remains unwavering in his trust in the Lord and sings of joy.
