信仰者は主イエスから主イエスの証人としての使命を与えられています。
Believers are given by the Lord Jesus the task of being His witnesses.

この聖句は、イエスが最初の弟子たちを呼び出す場面であり、信仰者にとって重要な教訓が含まれています。イエスはシモン（ペテロ）とその兄弟アンデレに、彼らが漁師であることを活かして、「人間をとる漁師」になるようにと呼びかけました。これは、彼らがこれまでの生活を離れ、イエスに従って新しい使命を果たすことを意味します。
この教訓から信仰者が学ぶべき点は以下の通りです：
 
1.召命への応答：イエスに従うことは、神の召命への応答を意味します。私たちは日常生活の中で神の声を聞き、それに応じて行動することが求められます。
 
2.新しいアイデンティティ：イエスに従うことで、私たちは新しいアイデンティティを受け入れます。漁師から「人間をとる漁師」への変化は、信仰者が世界において果たす新しい役割を象徴しています。
 
3.信仰による生き方：イエスに従うことは、物質的な安定や既知の生活を離れ、信仰に基づいて未知の道を歩むことを意味します。これは、信仰による生き方の実践です。
 
4.他者への奉仕：「人間をとる漁師」とは、他者に福音を伝え、彼らを神の愛に導くことを意味します。信仰者は、自分の信仰を通じて他者に仕えることが求められます。
私は日々の選択を通じてイエスに従い、神の愛と福音を世界に伝える使命を果たすことを自覚し、私は常に神の導きに耳を傾け、神の国のために生きたいと祈ります。
 
This passage of Scripture is the scene where Jesus calls his first disciples and contains an important lesson for the faithful. Jesus called Simon (Peter) and his brother Andere to take advantage of the fact that they were fishermen and to become 'fishers that take men'. This meant that they were to leave their previous lives and follow Jesus on a new mission.
The lessons to be learnt by the faithful from this lesson are as follows
 
1. response to the call: following Jesus means responding to God's call. We are to hear God's voice in our daily lives and act accordingly.
 
2. new identity: in following Jesus, we embrace a new identity. The change from fisherman to 'fisherman taking man' symbolises the new role that believers play in the world.
 
3. living by faith: following Jesus means leaving material security and the known life and walking an unknown path based on faith. This is the practice of living by faith.
 
4. service to others: being a 'fisherman taking a man' means sharing the gospel with others and leading them to the love of God. Believers are expected to serve others through their faith.
I am aware that I follow Jesus through my daily choices and fulfil my mission to share God's love and the Gospel with the world,
and I pray that I will always listen to God's guidance and live for His Kingdom.
