Bring Me The Horizon『R.i.p.』

『R.i.p.』はアルバム『POST HUMAN: NeX GEn』の12曲目。
タイトルに『duskCOre RemIx』と名を冠しているのですが、原曲というものはないですね。
アルバム内でも毛色の違う楽曲となっており、クラブ的なノリが気持ちい楽曲となっています。
また、アウトロでは会話が流れたのち『AmEN!』に繋がるのが激アツです。

とにかくミュージックビデオが面白すぎる曲で、サムネイルの時点で中々にシュールです。
踊る骸骨の背景では古めかしい映像が流れるのですが、日本のカラオケのように歌詞が表示されていきます。
しかも日本語つきで。
これが歌詞の意味をなぞった和訳ではなく、単純な機械翻訳なのがシュールで面白いです。

Bring Me The Horizonは昨年の「NEX_FEST」で来日したのですが、その際YUNGBLUDとのコラボ曲である『Happier』のMVも東京で撮っていましたし、後に『Kingslayer』のライブ映像も公開してくれました。

『Happier』のMVを見ても感じましたが、日本のカラオケ文化を気に入ったようで『Kingslayer』では歌詞の日本語訳がカラオケのように表示されていました。
今回の『R.i.p.』のMVも同じ流れを感じますし、こうやって日本の文化をフューチャーしてくれるのは日本人として嬉しい限りですね。

こんな感じで、Bring Me The Horizonの『R.i.p.』の紹介でした。
ノリのいいメロディとシュールで面白いミュージックビデオが特徴的な楽曲となっています。
アルバム内での毛色の違う雰囲気に、初めはあまり印象に残らなかったのですが、聴いている内に好きになった曲でもありますね。
