どうも、けこぜろです。

今朝iPhoneのミュージックアプリを開いたところ、昨年もまとめApple Musicの今年のまとめが表示されました。

年末に改めてまとめるつもりですが、今年よく聴いた音楽を振り返られるのは面白いですね。
1番長く聴いているのはもちろん浜田省吾ですが、曲単位で見るとBring Me The Horizonの音楽ばかり聴いていましたね。
今すぐにでも紹介したいところですが、今後聴いていく内にランキングは変動していくのでまた12月末にでも話すとします。

ということで、今回はBring Me The Horizonの音楽について。
この前のフェスでも歌ってくれた初期アルバムの曲『Chelsea Smile』です。

Bring Me The Horizon『Chelsea Smile』

『Chelsea Smile』はBring Me The Horizonの2枚目のアルバム『Suicide Season』の2曲目。
曲としては激しいメタルです。
15年前の曲ではあるのですが、15年前の当時に僕が好きになるようなタイプの曲ではありませんでしたね。
それこそこの前のフェスで聴けたので知っている曲という印象でしたが、初期アルバムが聴けるようになったことで何度か聴いて好きになりました。
今となってはこういうめちゃくちゃ激しい曲は大好きです。

耳で聴くだけでは歌詞も全然分かりませんでしたが、ちゃんと調べたところなんとなく理解することができました。
曲のタイトルも「本人の意思に反して笑っている表情」みたいですね。
激しいギターも相まって中々にヘビーな曲です。
叫ぶようなボーカルも印象的ですし、「Repent」と繰り返すのも耳に残りますね。
ただフェスの時はこの曲を知らなかったので一、緒に叫ぶことができなかったのが残念でした。

こんな感じで、Bring Me The Horizonの『Chelsea Smile』の紹介でした。
およそ昔の僕では好きにならなかったジャンルの曲ですが、実際に生で演奏するのを聴いて大きく印象が変わりました。
初期アルバムの激しい曲の中でも、フェスで聴いて知っているお陰で全く違って聴くことができましたね。
今となっては聴くだけでテンションが上がります。
