英会話２回目

今日はモーリシャスの女のセンセ。
マレーシア人の生徒が一人増えクラス編成は５名。

雑談メインで話題はone after the other 何を話していたかうろ覚え。
新しい生徒JESSがチャイマレ＆大学進学を控えているため、マレーシアの教育システムについて質問攻めだった。

マルチエスニック国家、マレーシア。
アジアでシンガポールに次ぐ英語力２位のこの国だけれど、やはり教育格差によって英語力にもかなり差があって、義務教育をマンダリンで修了しているJESSは英語もマレー語もベーシックしか知らず、苦手と私からすれば十分流暢な英語で話していた。

ここKLではRACEによって話す言語も文化もばらばら。
ダライ・ラマごとくlive in harmonyと言ってしまえば聞こえはいいが
各々が不満疑問を持って暮らしているのは移民の私からしても明らか。
結局はRACEなど関係なく万人が平等にハッピーな生活基盤は、民主主義かつ資本主義国家では到達できないということでせうか。
かといって社会主義だと人が腐るし。
やれやれ人間ってば罪深き愚かしい動物きわまりなし。

閉講30分前にやっと本日の課題が渡され、話題はVirtual Assistantに移る。
センセはSiriを絶賛愛用中で、電話をかけるのも、ワッツアップでメッセージを送るのも、もはやSiriのアシスタント無しではinconvinientよと言っていた。

一方で生徒たちはそこまで頻繁に利用している人はおらず、人によっては使い勝手がいいんだなぁ、ふうん、というくらい。

予想以上に早くtechnology singulalityがやってきた。
芸術の領域にもAIが足を踏み入れた今、既に我々人間に残された強みは感情＆フィジカルにしかなくなってきてるじゃんね。

食べて寝て子作りして。
一般の人間は、他の動物たちと大差ない原始的生活しかできなくなる日は、多分そう遠くないね。

こんなふうに、超どうでもいいことが頭に浮かんでは消える授業が過ぎていく150分。

今日もうろ覚え＆新しい単語のシャワー浴びて散々でタコス食べて帰宅。
