TryFarm's under construction...

Hi everyone.
Have you heard of TryFarm?

Basically, you can think of it as a barrier-free garden in a nursing home. We will create it for our residents and local people who have drastically reduced opportunities to visit and go out due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But of course, that's not all.

The TryFarm will solve the problems that sociologists and scientists of today have long been concerned about in their labs. For instance, we'll restore the weakened family ties and the hollowing out of local communities that have been brought about since the post-industrial society. People who come together at TryFarm break down the prevalence of excessive individualism by building familiarity and sharing the concept of "We." TryFarm improves the social capital of the people involved. It will be a place to reactivate the reciprocal relationship that humans have shared as a survival instinct at the genome level since time immemorial.

Okay, whatever. Then, what and how exactly are we going to do? Well, you decide. Use it as a place where you can do what you want to do, your way.

For example, TryFarm can be a good place for a dementia prevention training session (since we're a nursing home, maybe that's the right way to use it). Or if you are a musician, invite some friends to drop your new piece. If you are a poet you can present a poetry reading. There are many ways to use it, but the most welcome one is just a purposeless visit to kill time. In the future, we also plan to set up a cafe.

From today, we have started collecting donations through crowdfunding. For more details check the link below. It runs until October 18th.

Doesn't it sound cool to imagine that young and elderly people talk about their local memories and the Metaverse together at the same time while sipping third wave coffee at third place?

We are looking forward to meeting you at TryFarm.
