英語日記 Challenge_1

お久しぶりです。tomoyaです。

最近、仕事終わりや空いた時間を使って、今年から英語学習に取り組んでいます。

英語学習の一環として、noteでその日にあった出来事や思ったことなどを英語でアウトプットできたらいいなと思い、英語日記を始めてみることにしました。

英語学習は現時点では必要に迫られて始めたものではなく、現在の仕事以外の選択肢を広げられる可能性の探索という形でなんとなく始めてみたのがきっかけです。

今の職場では情報収集のために英語を読む機会はあるものの、海外の人と仕事をしたりするなど、ガッツリ英語を使う機会があるわけではありません。

エンジニアの仕事は楽しいですが、「このままエンジニア1本だけでやっていっていいのか？他にも選択肢や持っているスキル同士の化学反応があった面白いのでは？」という思いが巡りました。

英語はエンジニアの業務効率アップなどの理由から親和性が高く、色々な価値観を持つ世界中の人へのアクセス権だと考えていて、業務にもプライベートにも活かせる優秀なスキルだと思います。

今は「世界中の情報により早くアクセスできるようになりたい」「海外の友人を作りたい」という目的が原動力になっていますが、今後強く実現したいことが出てくるともっと楽しくなりそうだなーとワクワクしています。

また、会話で使える英単語や英会話表現を学んでるだけで純粋に楽しいので、趣味としても楽しめるのが良いですね。

僕自身の英語力ですが、義務教育時代からリーディング（たまにライティング）中心の英語学習を行ってきたため、ビジネスや日常会話におけるスピーキング力やリスニング力は初級者レベルといっても良いかもしれません。

ポジティブに捉えたら、改善の余地がかなりあるということですね。笑

英語に関わらず、何事も確固たるスキルを身に付けるためには地道な努力が必要になります。

しかしその地道な努力を積み重ねた先には、人生をもっと楽しくする様々な選択肢や経験、出会いがあることを信じて、コツコツと続けていきます！

I'm Tomoya.

Recently, I've been tackling to study English after work or using my available time.

As a part of my studying, I decided to start writing a diary in English to output my events that I have experienced lately.

Studying English is not absolutely necessary for me at the moment, but I thought that I want to extend my possibilities and options regardless of whether it can use for my work or not.

In my current work, I have some opportunities to read English sentence for gathering information, but as for speaking, I have no opportunities like I communicate with foreign people, and so forth.

I enjoy working as a software engineer now, but one day, I had just a thought that is it OK to just only working as a engineer? if I can become able to speak English, couldn't I create our chemical reaction with my skills or strengths?

I think that English is a high affinity with the engineering skills from the viewpoint of improving our work efficiency and can be access point to be able to connect with a lot of people or sense of values.

At the moment, I'm driven by for the purpose that I want to communicate with many people from all over the world and connect to the interesting information rapidly now (if it will emerge what I really want to achieve, it's going to be more fun and exciting.)

Besides, studying English has some good points because I can purely enjoy learning English, for example English phrases, words and expressions that can communicate with people smoothly.

As for my listening and speaking skills, it might be beginner level as I have been mainly studying reading(sometimes writing) since I was a student.

I think that positively, there are a lot of room for improving!! lol

I know that to acquire anything skills regardless of the English we have to make a lot of efforts.

That is so tough, but, I will continue to keep studying English to enjoy the journey of numerous experiences and encounters.
