【詩】水面の神話

まず最初に水面があった。
それは厚さのない鏡であった。

水面には表裏の区別はなく　
そこに姿を映す者はいなかった。

音も光もなんにも存在しないので　
やがて水面はいたたまれなくなった。

わだかまりが生まれ　
悶え、歪み、乱れ　

ついに水面に波紋が広がった。

限界を超えた水面は千切れ　
あるいは泡、あるいは雫となった。

表裏の区別がないため　
泡と雫の区別もなかった。

それらは光となり　
また闇となった。

やがて光は星屑となり　
闇は神話となったのである。
　

Water Surface Myth

In the beginning was the water surface.
It was a mirror with no thickness.

There was no distinction between the front and back
on the surface of the water,
and no one reflected the figure there.

No sounds or lights exist at all,
soon the surface of the water became unbearable.

Ill feeling was born, agony, distortion, disturbance,
ripples spread to the surface at last.

The water surface exceeding the limit was torn,
or bubbles or droplets.

Because there is no distinction between the front and back,
there was no distinction between foam and drop.

They became light or became dark.

Eventually the light became a stardust,
and the darkness became a myth.
