【SS】兎の罠

巣穴から子兎が頭を出した。

自慢の長い耳。
どんな音でも聞き分ける。

風のざわめき、鳥のさえずり、猟師の足音。

「くれぐれも罠には気をつけるんだよ」
巣穴の奥から、母兎の声がした。

「もう子どもじゃないよ。罠なんか平気さ」

子兎は巣穴を飛び出した。
日差しがまぶしい。

元気に山を駆けまわる。
罠を見つけると、小枝を使って壊した。

一日中遊びまわった。

子兎が遊び疲れて帰ってみると　
巣穴が消えていた。

土をかけられ、すっかり埋もれていた。
わけがわからない。

あたりに母兎の姿はなかった。

人間の匂いはない。
母兎の匂いだけ。

「ほらね。罠には気をつけるんだよ」

そんな母兎の声を　
聞いたような気がした。

Rabbit Trap

A baby rabbit came out of the burrow.

His proud long ears.
It listens to any sound.

The noise of the wind, the song of the birds,
the footsteps of the hunters.

"Be very careful with traps."

The mother rabbit's voice
came from the back of the burrow.

"I am not a child anymore. Traps are normal."

The baby rabbit popped out of the burrow.
The sunlight is dazzling.

He runs well in the mountains.
When he found a trap, he broke it with a twig.

He played around all day.

When the baby rabbit got tired and went home,
the burrow disappeared.

It was covered with soil and completely buried.
He has no idea.

There was no figure of his mother rabbit around.

There is no human smell.
Only the smell of the mother rabbit.

"Hey. Be careful with the trap."
He felt like he heard the voice of his mother rabbit.
