【SS】商談中

客と商談中なのであった。
なかなかスムーズに進行していた。

ところが、ふと私は気づく。
客から受け取ったばかりの書類がない。

大事なものを紛失してしまった。
テーブルの上を捜しても見つからない。

あわてて自分のバッグを開ける。
安物のバッグが破れ、中身が床に散らばる。

とんでもないものがゾロゾロ。
あられもないものがゴロゴロ。

その恥ずかしい事と言ったらない。
人間性を疑われてしまったに違いない。

あせって席を立ち、急いで拾い集める。
客の視線が背中に突き刺さる。

「ああ、これはまことにもって
　申しわけありませんの利休」

言いわけが言いわけになってない。
こぼれ落ちる自分の言葉が理解できない。

ボロボロと信用を失ってゆくばかり。

もう逃げるしかないと決意した瞬間、
目の前に書類が置かれてあるのに気づく。

「あった！　書類がありました！」
私は狂喜する。

だが、客の目は冷たい。
「最初からここにありましたよ」
　

In Negotiations

I was in negotiations with a customer.
It was quite smoothly progressing.

I lost my precious thing.
I can not find it even if I search for the top of the table.

I hurry and open my bag.

My excuse is not an excuse.

I just lose my credibility.

I rejoice like crazy.
