【SS】お使いの帰り

お使いの帰りに寄り道して
すっかり遅くなってしまった。

母さんから頼まれたお使いは
隣の村の本家の家まで行って
約束のものを預かって戻ること。

その約束のものは風呂敷に包まれてるから
決して中を覗いてはいけないよ、とのこと。

そんなこと言われたら絶対に
中を覗かないと気が済まなくなることくらい
どうして大人はわかんないのかな。

あたいは村の境の橋の上で風呂敷包みを開け
その中身を見てしまった。

それで死ぬほど驚いて橋から転げ落ちて
そのまま川に流されて
ちょっとばかり気を失ったけど
すぐに目がさめて土手に這い上がった。

けれども、風呂敷の中身は川に流されてしまって
ああ、あんなものは流された方がいいんだ。

誰も見てはなんねえもんだ、と思って
あたいはその辺の畑のナスとかキュウリとか千切って
濡れた風呂敷に包んで誤魔化すことにしたんだ。

だけど、こんなに帰りの時刻が遅くなって
両手で持ってる風呂敷包みも重たくって
あたい、なんだかもう家に帰りたくない。

Return from an Errand

I dropped on the way back from an errand, so I got late.

The errand my mother asked me to go
to the house of the neighbor's village's main home
and keep the appointment and return.

The promised one is wrapped in a wrapping cloth,
so I should never peek inside.

I wonder why adults do not guess
as long as I do not feel insecure

if I absolutely do not peek inside if you say such a thing.

I opened a wrapping cloth on the bridge
at the border of the village and saw the contents.

So I was surprised to dying so I fell down from the bridge,
flowed to the river as it was, I fainted for a moment
but I quickly awoke and crawled up on the bank.

However, the contents of the wrapping cloth
have been swept away by the river,
and Oh, it is better for them to be shed.

Thinking that no one should see it,
I decided to shuffle it with eggplants or cucumber
in the vineyards, wrapping them
in the wet wrapping cloth, and putting it in error.

But, the time for my return is so late,
the wrapping cloth that
I have with both hands is heavy,
I do not want to return home anyhow.
